POSTCARD CLUB IV

It's been a while since I took part in Postcard Club, but here's a swap I did recently with artist Avia Cohen from Israel. I sent Avia this paper collage of a mystic lady, and Avia sent me a fabulous swan illustration in return.

Visit postcard-club.tumblr.com to see loads more great postcard swaps from illustrators all round the world!

EDUCATIONAL WRITER'S AWARD 2015

Hello all! Some exciting news to share…

Earlier this month, 'Atlas of Adventures' won the 2015 Educational Writer's Award - the UK's only award for educational writing! The award was presented to myself and Rachel Williams by Ed Vaizey MP, Minister of State for Culture, at the House of Commons' Winter Reception.

It was such a surprise and honour to have won, and a really nice way to round off the year! Thanks again to ALCS and the Society of Authors for a great evening, and for all their support of the book. Click here to read more about the awards, and here to see some more photos from the night. You can also read a short interview I did for ALCS about the making of 'Atlas' and winning the award here.
